Jeff was born December 23, 1951 in St. Joseph to Howard & Ilah (Healy) Ruhno. He graduated from Lakeshore High School, Class of 1970. He was employed for many years at his Father’s service station-Ruhno’s Service Station in St. Joseph, Hilltop Foods Bakery in St. Joseph, by Viking Foods as a display manager, at Pier 33 Marina, and most recently in the deli at Roger’s Foodland in St. Joseph.

Jeff was the unofficial neighborhood watch person on Second St. His garage was always open to any friends or neighbors who wanted to drop by for a visit. He enjoyed cooking and grilling, rooting for the Chicago Bears, photography, growing roses at home, and watching the birds, squirrels and other wildlife and nature around the property and in his earlier years-hunting & fishing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jeff is survived by his mother Ilah Ruhno of St. Joseph; two sisters-Jean Lewetag of Palmetto, FL and Martha Ruhno of St. Joseph; his nephew-Joel A. Lewetag; his niece Andrea M. Lewetag both of Palmetto; his great-nephew Peyton A. Lewetag; several cousins; his good friend Mike (Sara) Sassano of St. Joseph; and his Second St. family. Hi this is Corky Langer. Jeff and I met back in 1968 when my dad bought a business next to the Ruhno gas station. We weren't real close the last 20 years as Jeff retired and I didn't until this year. We always stayed in touch on his birthday throughout the years.

I am very sorry for your loss!! Corky
