Dear Chilton & Weed families we were so sad at first to hear of the loss of our wonderful cousin, Frances Weed Chilton. The more we thought about it, we realized her Sweet Heart, John Chilton wanted them to be together for Valentines. What a wonderful couple they were. There are so many times over the years that I wish our families could have gotten to meet and know each other more since we are cousins to both. We are the daughters of Floyd & Rosa Kittson Woodruff (Roxanne, Rita, Sandra, & Sue). Mom, Dad, & Sandra wrote often to the different families in years past. It wasn't until after our father passed away that I began to write & email John & Frances and Larry & Debbie Chilton Wilson. Sandra & I got the genealogy bug from our mother & Sandra made some wonderful Rickle & Woodruff books for dad. I had him write a word or two in emails using 2 fingers. He was so excited to see how the computer worked. We hope to hear from some of you. I will leave my email silkyspot@aol.com and for snail mail write to us at the Woodruff Family - 6004 NE Alton St, Portland, OR 97213 I tried to add 3 photos, but only see one. I will see if others got in there. Our love & hugs to each and every one of you.

It was my honor and pleasure to have met Frances this past April and to bring communion to her through BeFriender Ministry of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. She had many interesting stories of her antique collections and decorating the farmhouse where she lived with John. I understood how much she missed her life with John and before illness really slowed her down. As written in the gospel of Matthew: "Come to me all you who are weary and are burdened and I will give you rest . . . For my yoke is easy and my burden light." Rest in peace Frances.
