Obituary

Bruno Lehmann, 60, of Baroda, passed away on Sunday at Spectrum Health - Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.

A celebration of his life service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 5791 Sawyer Rd., Sawyer, MI 49125. Friends wishing to leave a condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.

Bruno was born on November 20, 1960 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Ewald & Agathe (Pahl) Lehmann. He was a graduate from Lakeshore High School and Ferris State University. He was president of TRU Die Cast Corporation in New Troy, Michigan.

During his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying and watching soccer.

Bruno is survived by his mother Agathe Lehmann of St. Joseph; fiancé Sheila Rose of Stevensville; a daughter Katheryn Lehmann of Irving Park, IL; and a son Daniel Lehmann of Baroda.

He is preceded in death by his father Ewald Lehmann and a brother Mark Lehmann.

Liebe Agathe und Familie,

Mit großer Traurigkeit habe ich über Ihren Verlust von Bruno hören müssen.. Er war einer der liebenswürdigsten und freundlichsten Menschen, die ich je kennenlernen durfte. Ich habe noch immer schöne Erinnerungen, als ich damals mit 16 Jahren der neue Torwart von der Ersten Mannschaft sein durfte.Bruno hat immer auf mich aufgepasst, damit wir nicht in allzu viele Schwierigkeiten bei den Turnieren in Chicago geraten sind. Er war die Stimme der Vernunft und hat eine große Achtung vor seinen Mannschaftskameraden genossen. Victoria ist zutiefst traurig, dass sie wegen der aktuellen Covidbeschränkungen kein Trostmahl beim Verein organisieren durfte.

Es tut mir sehr leid, dass Sie solche Sorgen ertragen müssen. Ich wünschte, ich könnte irgendetwas tun, um Ihnen ein bisschen Trost zu spenden. Die Wörter scheinen als ob sie leer sind, wenn ich an die tragischen Ereignisse der letzten Jahren denke. Ich hoffe sehr, dass sie wissen, wie viel Liebe und Dankbarkeit wir für Sie und Ihre Familie haben und was Sie für den Verein geleistet haben. Hoffentlich zeigen Ihnen die Bemühungen meiner Familie wie unglaublich stolz wir darauf sind was Sie gegründet haben.

We will miss seeing Bruno in his red bass boat on Sauble Lake. He may have liked to fish more than my father Don Noah, if that's possible. They would often greet each other with a story about their catch for the day. Now they are both angling for the big bass in heaven.
