He graduated from Leo High School and continued his education at Daley College where he earned his degree in Humanity. By the time he was 19, he was enrolled at the Chicago Police Academy as a Police Cadet. This started his 33-year career as a Police Officer before his retirement in 1999. On May 25,1985, Allan married the love of his life Cherisse Basile at St. Joseph Parish in Chicago.

After Allan’s retirement, he moved his family to Bridgman, MI where he enjoyed taking care of their four-acre property. He also kept busy taking care of his children, his mother, and his cousin. Allan loved his time with his family, taking the scenic route, and sharing life’s simple pleasures with everyone he met.

Allan is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cherisse Havlicek of Bridgman; his son Arthur (Gabriella Reihanian) Havlicek of St. Joseph, daughter Alisse Havlicek of Grand Rapids; and cousin Wayne Lacny of Bridgman.

Allan has now joined his beloved parents in Heaven, who preceded him in death.
